of various leading newspapers and magazines - the record for the most numbers
in one year.
His aim was to express his views on almost all current economic and political
issues, to bring into focus problems relating to weaker sectons, farmers,
women, children, poverty, corruption etc. and to suggest solutions.
The themes of his published letters included the relation between high oil prices and India's
economic outlook (Business Line 24 November 2004), tamper-proof electronic
fare meters for autorickshaw drivers (The Hindu 24 January 2004) and the hint
that "a normal sex life keeps the heart in a good shape" (Reader's Digest April 2004). |
